Alexander wants Bafana chance again Sport24 15:38 01/11/2016

Cape Town - After a slow start to his career at SuperSport United, Cole Alexander says he is ready to perform for Stuart Baxter and earn his way back into the national team.
Matsatsantsa's head coach pulled off a major coup in signing the former Polokwane City midfielder on a free transfer in the off-season, but his start to life in Tshwane was halted by injury.
However, after returning to full fitness, the South Africa international claims he is ready to battle it out with experienced duo Dean Furman and Renilwe Letsholonyane for a spot in midfield and ultimately re-enter the fold of Shakes Mashaba's Bafana Bafana set-up.
"I'm working extremely hard for my club with the hope that I impress the national coach," he told
KickOff.
"I feel I have a lot to offer the team as I haven't really featured prominently. That's my goal - to wear the national jersey again with pride."
Alexander has played 140 games in the Premiership since graduating from Ajax Cape Town's academy in 2008.
The 27-year-old had a breakthrough season last year at Polokwane City with his performances earning him a Bafana Bafana call-up.
The midfielder expects a tough encounter on Tuesday when Matsatsantsa take on Orlando Pirates at the Mbobela Stadium.
Kick off is at 19:30.
