I never asked NFF to pay Super Eagles in dollars – Mikel Obi By Ifreke Inyang on October 21, 2016

Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has debunked stories claiming that he demanded that his team-mates be paid their bonuses and allowances in dollars.
This week, some reports stated that a top Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) source, revealed that the Chelsea midfielder asked for the squad to be rewarded in foreign currency.
However on Thursday, Mikel Obi took to the Eagles’ official Twitter page to deny those stories.never granted any such interview and the team had not made that kind of demand at any time to the football federation,” he was quoted as saying.
The 29-year-old is expected to be called up, when Nigeria welcome Algeria in their next 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo on November 12.
