60-Year-Old Man Allegedly Stoned To Death By Church Members in Ebonyi

A sixty-year-old man, Philip Ugwu has been confirmed dead after he was stoned by worshipers of a church in Afikpo LGA in Ebonyi state. Abani Ugwu, the wife of the deceased reported the matter to the police and Tochukwu Okoh, an evangelist, had been arrested in connection with the incident. The victim, who is popularly called Boxer or Coach, had argued with the church worshipers in a new generation church over the attention of a fence to demarcate their lands. One thing led to another and it wasn’t long before Mr. Okoh and three others attacked her husband with stones, Abani said.

Pastor Fails To Resurrect After Telling People To Bury Him Alive

Five members of the same family were charged with the murder of a prophet who had been called to their home in the village of Mazonde, Zimbabwe to help them cleanse their house of evil spirits. According to local newspaper, Zed 24 News, the accused family identified as  Leanmore Mutero , Tonderai Muswere , Michael Muchengeti , Manasa Mutero   and  Nicholas Mutero , appeared at the High Court in Harare facing a murder charge for participating in the death of self-professed  Prophet Shamiso Kanyama , who accidentally died during a healing ceremony. Pastor Kanyama had reportedly asked his followers to bury him alive so that he could summon more cleansing powers to heal the family that had been plagued by mysterious deaths. The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, YOWICAN, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration of marginalising Christians and running Nigeria as a Muslim organization. Rising from an emergency meeting in Abuja, on Monday, YOWICAN claimed that the Buhari-led Federal Government was executing Islamic agenda. A statement by the group’s National President, Daniel Kadzai, pointed out that the removal of Christian religious studies from primary/secondary schools, especially in the North and the alleged unequal treatment meted out to Christians in the North showed that the current government was out to kill the Christian religion.

Arsenal Join Spurs In Race For £6.8m Onyekuru

 22 MAY 2017  HEADLINES By Chidy Eke   Nigeria forward Henry Onyekuru has emerged as a transfer rarget for Premier League side Arsenal. Onyekuru, 19, who has been invited for the Super Eagles' friendlies against Corsica and Togo in Paris, has attracted interest from several clubs after he scored 24 goals in all competitions for Belgian Pro League club this season.
